USHRED was conceived by Paul Moreno, the owner of a successful document shredding business based in Watsonville, Ca.

While running his business, he noticed a huge need for a service that catered to the individual and the small business owner. Most of the time, these individuals had only a bag or a box to shred. He also noticed the incovenience experienced by these individuals to have these documents destroyed. They were usually shunned by the larger shredding companies or charged exhorbitant prices. In addition to this, they usually had to haul their documents to some out of the way warehouse and spend hours trying to shred their bag of confidential papers.

Thus, the idea of USHRED was conceived. The idea was simple: User friendly machines would be set up in convenient locations and confidential documents could be shred onsite. Not only were their documents shred quickly, but the document owner had the comfort of watching the documents destroyed sheet by sheet. Fast, easy document shredding at a low cost! Once the idea was announced, entrepreneurs were lining up to buy the machines and people are calling round the clock to find out when a machine will be installed in their area. Talk about opportunity!
